Published in 2023, the book was written to help engaged couples plan their wedding with confidence, start to finish. Alma currently lives in Stamford, Texas, while her husband works in Haskell, Texas, finishing up a Google project expected to take several years. In between, she's been building out her own wedding media brand: a website, a published book, and free planning resources for couples everywhere. How It All Began: A Las Vegas Magazine, Passed Down The articles that would become Alma's book started their life in a Las Vegas wedding magazine publication that ran for 18 years, owned by Alma's mother, Donna Buckles Jaster. Its final title was Wedding Extravaganza Magazine — and it's the name Alma carries forward today. Alma grew up helping her mother distribute the magazine throughout Las Vegas, watching brides-to-be pick up a copy and carry it with them everywhere. That connection between real couples and real, useful planning content is what she's continuing. She bought the website and had it built in 2023 to keep her mother's legacy going.
